Are Business card printing Obsolete?
The concept for this article came after playing a LinkedIn discussion group where someone posed this topic. “While experiencing a collection of business cards the thought struck me that lots of were outdated since several of the companies no longer exist or perhaps the person about the card managed to move on. I’ve found lots more people on LinkedIn and other sites and have shown people both over the phone and electronically. Now, each card is uploaded or details are saved in a mobile device the credit card gets discarded. (If you do not are a pack rat.) Do we need business cards on this brave new world?”
This responses were so intriguing, notable and varied that we thought I’d incorporate them into this short article and hopefully provide some enhancements which you may make for a cards the very next time that you have them printed.
In this social networking era one could think perhaps that the usefulness of your business card will go by the wayside. Many people are so plugged in using their smart phone and apps that perhaps they’re obsolete. Does one remember years ago, pre-Smart Phones, once we had Palm Pilots and you also would exchange info by pointing it at one another! That thing went the clear way of the Beeper!
